From an early age Robert developed a keen interest in gymnastics and while still at school became highly proficient in many gymnastic disciplines. Although excelling in this sport he did not find the competitive nature quite so appealing, far more enjoyable was the actual performance especially before an audience.

Fuelled with an added interest in the stage and performing arts Robert naturally progressed into the world of circus where he was able to combine his strongest discipline, the Rings, with showmanship to create an exciting aerial act. For over a decade his 'Roman Rings' number was featured in many of Britain's leading circuses including Chipperfield's, Gerry Cottle's, Circus Berlin and Zippo's. In 1995 he appeared for a season at the world famous Blackpool Tower Circus from which continental engagements materialised taking him to France, Holland followed by two consecutive seasons touring Sweden.

The year 2001 saw Robert's return to Britain, invited once again to perform with Zippo's award winning circus but this time presenting an entirely different routine on the 'Aerial Straps'. A whole new routine was specially devised and perfected for that year's production, with gruelling acrobatics being performed with consummate ease and grace which has become Robert's trademark.

The success of this act has lead to more theatrical work including several Pantomime appearances, a tour of Taiwan in the glamorous Parisian style revue 'Las Vegas Fantasy' and in 2009 Robert was invited to perform at the first ever Scottish Royal Variety Performance. In such venues as these modern theatres Robert's spectacular flying sequence’s are shown to great advantage - taking flight from the stage and out over the audience.

Now in 2011 having returned from his Winter engagement in Germany on Circus Probst, Robert will again be appearing at the famous Hippodrome Circus in Great Yarmouth for his Fourth Summer season there, after which he is booked to appear in Paris in ‘The Pearl of Bengal’ staged by famous Bouglione family.

Never failing an enthusiastic reaction, the breathtaking high-flying effects of Robert Foxall are an ideal feature for any circus, variety show, pantomime or corporate event.

Zippos Circus - UK Tour

Described in the programme as 'Britain's Lord of the Air', this was possibly the highlight of the show, as Robert once again with seemingly effortless grace, performed his unique straps act that has made him internationally famous in the last decade. Here he worked to the appropriately rousing strains of John Miles' 1985 hit 'Music Was My First Love'. A novelty was the swirling around the ring in darkness, with Robert just illuminated only by coloured lights on his costume. His agility and strength was warmly appreciated by the audience providing a crescendo upon which to close the first half of the show.

The Forum, Billingham

The literal highlight of this show is a gymnastic high-wire act performed by Robert Foxall, the aptly-named Lord of the Air, who shows incredible acrobatic control in a sequence above the orchestra pit, which ends with him swirling in a circle above the heads of the audience, his costume glittering in the dimmed lights.

‘FEARLESS’ Hippodrome Circus 2010.

‘There’s a sense of enthusiasm coming off all the performers that communicates directly with the audience and gives the fast-paced show an incredible energy. Nowhere is this more true than in Robert Foxall’s new cloud-swing routine, set to Queen’s disco classic ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ (I’m Having a Good Time). The sheer gleeful self-enjoyment Foxall radiates as he shows off above the Hippodrome’s swimming pool and fountains gels so perfectly with the exuberance of the music that the act doesn’t just impress, it lifts the soul.’
