Client: The Trojans Scheme

For their tenth anniversary, the Trojans Scheme chose the Festival Circus to celebrate with a circus family event. To make this a special day, we were asked to give two full-length circus performances and provide circus skills workshops for their 1000 invited guests. This needed to be accomplished within a time-scale starting at 11am and finishing at 7pm, with provision for a press call for local newspapers and media, picnic meals for all and a short presentation and speeches.

12:00 : Picnic meal for families & children.

The Trojans Scheme is a London based educational and training charity providing out of school activities to children, as well as volunteering, employment and training opportunities for adults living in areas of high unemployment. Now known as Kids' City, the organisation started in 1995 as a joint parent and school initiative after identifying the severe lack of 'out of school activities' for the local children and their families, also addressing the lack of accessible employment and training opportunities for people living in deprived areas. It has steadily grown in size and quality and now provides activities to 15 schools in Lambeth and Wandsworth with 2,300 children using the service weekly.
